Abstract We study the large deviations of power injected by active force for an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck particle (AOUP), free or in a confining potential. For free-particle case, we compute rate function analytically d -dimensions from saddle-point expansion, and numerically two dimensions (a) direct sampling work numerical solutions AOUP equations (b) Legendre–Fenchel transform scaled cumulant generating obtained via cloning algorithm.
